Torleif is the Jarl of all the Danes, and as such commands great power, respect and wealth.  He is known as a great warrior and strategist.  Torleif is monikered “One-Ear” not because he has lost an ear, but one can always be sure he is listening to everything said, so he is only paying attention to you with one ear.

Rumor is that he is paying close attention to what is happening at Thule from his throne in his great hall, concerned after his son Hakon returned from raiding The Onyx City and was… changed.
