Ragnarok

The prophesied “doom of the gods” in Norse mythology.  It’s a cataclysmic series of events, including a great battle that results in the deaths of many major gods (such as Odin and Thor) and the destruction of the world, followed by its eventual rebirth and the emergence of a new age.
