Jotnar

Primordial beings from Norse mythology, often referred to as “giants” but varying greatly in size and appearance.  They represent the raw, untamed forces of nature and Chaos, existing before the gods (Aesir and Vanir) and frequently acting as their adversaries, though complex relationships including intermarriage and shared wisdom are common.  They are often powerful magic-users and play a crucial, destructive role in the events of Ragnarok.

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.”
– George Bernard Shaw
