Vanir

One of the two main tribes of gods in Norse mythology, primarily associated with fertility, wisdom, prophecy, and wealth. They are distinct from the Aesir, having once waged war against them before achieving a lasting peace.  Prominent Vanir gods include Freyr, Freyja, and Njordr.
