Seidr
Seidr is a powerful and often unsettling form of Norse magic, primarily associated with prophecy, divination, and the manipulation of fate, minds, and spirits. Practiced mainly by volva and notably by Odin himself, it often involved trance states, chanting (galdr in some contexts, but seidr is the broader practice), and a perceived ability to weave or alter destiny. It was considered an uncanny, often feminine, and sometimes shameful practice for men.
