Rune

Runes are the characters of an ancient Germanic alphabet, believed by the Norse to hold profound magical power, discovered by Odin.  In Norse magic, they were carved onto objects, chanted, or cast to perform divination, protection, blessings, or curses, drawing upon their inherent connection to fate and cosmic forces.
