Rumor 0005 (DM)

“We traveled northeast of the city and outside the walls on the glacier there is a field of strange columns that glow with the light of Hel.  Be careful!”

These are obelisks that were outside the city perimeter.  They must be set upright, but once done they go dark and then light back up after 1d3 rounds.  (They need to reboot.)

Each obelisk does something different:  1 - data repository, 2 - defense obelisk, 3 - houses a captured being (basically a jail obelisk), 4 - a hologram emitter
