 +Hakon is the son of [[torleif_one_ear|Torleif One-Ear]], Jarl of the Danes.  He traveled to [[thule|Thule]] to raid [[onyx_city|The Onyx City]] during the second raiding season with a large band of warriors, most of whom did not return from their expeditions.  When Hakon did return his father noted that his son was not quite who he was before; it is unclear if it is because of the hardships he endured, or something happened to Hakon in the City.
