| Perhaps you were initiated into the basics of the traditions by your family despite The Prohibitions, or you were taught some tricks by a mysterious traveler that occasionally visited your area and took a shine to you. Maybe your rural village had a wise woman or cunning man that you apprenticed with briefly before their home was burned by Inquisitors from The Great Church. It could be as child you found some strange books in an old chest in the loft of a disused barn or the base of an ancient tree rumored to be haunted, that you stole away as you could to study in depth. You may have even been given strange visions in your sleep by... you are scared to guess, but found that when you awoke you had certain... knowledge. | |
