A bit about goblins

With creatures like mongrelmen taking over the chattel monster type, I’d like to see my goblins be a bit strange.

For instance, I’d like my goblins to be a bit variant; in a way, the whole spectrum of goblins/hobgoblins/bugbears sort of covers that in a sense.  However, I’d like them to be weird.  Perhaps goblins are a bit “oi!” and punk rock, wearing leathers and spikes and having wild hairdos like mohawks and crazy bobs.  They don’t talk so much as shout and spit.  Or perhaps every tribe is the reflection of the spirit of the Goblin King, so they are almost aspects of the Goblin King.

Their lairs are weird.  Perhaps, like in Idalium, the lair of a Goblin King is weird and impossible, twisted by his innate Chaos.  The whole place is like a bit of a pocket dimension, similar to the Skein, but not quite; it loops in on itself, parts go to other parts impossibly, it’s hard to map or find everything.
